Other Home Events

Events are configured into your Capstone Home Control system to make your home more convenient, safer and more efficient. They are easy to set up and allow for the complete integration of all systems that you have chosen to automate. Events are typically automatically initiated by a time or condition based condition.

Here’s an example of a “Goodnight” event.

Trigger: Arming of the Security system to Night mode

Capstone actions:

- Close garage doors if open
- Turn off all audio currently playing
- Turn off all lights except hall pathway
- Turn off all audio video components
- Adjust thermostats to desired night settings

All of these actions happen every night, within seconds of the security system being armed.

An event may also be triggered manually and run at any time. The system keeps track of all events and when they execute. The event log screen shows the event and the time it was triggered. You may also look at historical event information by simply selecting the desired day and month.

Events are really what having a home control system is all about. They let you tailor your home to your lifestyle, automating many of the mundane tasks you previously did manually.
